Ziegler

Ziegler rugs are named the German based design company who set up a rug manufacturing operation in Iran. They created a hybrid of Persian Mahal and Farahan designs, hoping their new design would be suitable for Western tastes. Nowadays, most "Ziegler rugs" are in fact Afghan rugs in a Ziegler design.
